Mission Statement
The Fox Chase Champions is a non-profit organization incorporated to provide recreational and educational activities for special needs children. The outdoor soccer program began in 1994 with the support of the Fox Chase Soccer Club. The Fox Chase Champions quickly expanded with the addition of indoor soccer, bowling and baseball. The physically or mentally challenged participantsrange in age from 3 to 23 years old and come from Philadelphia and the surrounding communities. The activities have been successful in increasing motor skills as well as instilling a sense of self-esteem, accomplishment and teamwork among the players.
Special Thanks
The Fox Chase Champions Athletic Association operates at no cost to the participants; due to the dedication of the all volunteer staff and thanks to the generous support given by the Fox Chase Recreation Center, the Fox Chase Soccer Club, Philadelphia City Councilman Brian O'Neill, Conroy Catering, the John Taylor Memorial Fund, the Philadelphia Police 7th District and the many people who support us with private financial contributions.
